Banks & Money in Sauze d’Oulx
ATMs/ Cash Machines
There are various cash machines in Sauze, a number of which will charge commission on transactions. There are two main bank machines (atm/bancomat): Opposite Faure Sport in the centre of Sauze (Piazza Assietta) and beside the entrance to the Hotel Relais des Alpes (in Piazza III Reggimento Alpini). Sometimes these machines will charge commission and sometimes not – depending upon the card type used and whether the card is in Euros or not.
The bank is Sauze is Intesa Sanpaolo. The opening hours vary so look for information at bank itself.
There are other yellow and blue cash machines around the village – these may charge you a high commission or an reduced exchange rate.

If your bank/card charges a fee for foreign currency transaction, a cash multi-currency card is worth having. These can be used like normal bank cards in bars, restaurants, ski hire, ski schools etc.
To use it, you load the card with as much of your own currency as you want and can convert to Euros on the app with minimal commission and also good exchange rate – much better than the banks offer generally speaking. Both Wise and Revolut offer this.
The only time we have found that they may not work well is on the autostrada (motorway) when paying at toll booths. Hopefully this will be sorted soon.
